Mustangs Forever Inc. is a non-profit organization having great respect for Mustangs, who at one time roamed the wild and free. Our goal is to save and preserve these magnificent animals and help people by bringing the two together. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is over burden with its attempt to control and balance wild mustangs in America.
Save & Preserve
There are over 33,000 wild horses roaming on BLM managed lands- a population that exceeds their appropriate level by some 5,700 animals. Over population results in excessive funding by the tax payers and puts these wild horses in jeopardy of extermination. By adopting some of these horses we Save Horses and Help People.

About Us

Mustangs Forever Inc. was founded by Randy and Marsha Olson. We have lived in the Hill Country for 40 years. We own our place with running water and good pasture grass. There is a 6000 square foot enclosed barn for our horses. Over the years we have had various types of horses from race horses, cutting horses, ranch work horses, to barrell racing horses.

We have always enjoyed working with the horses, but are especially excited about our endeavor to save the Wild Mustangs.

Saving Horses

Due to the over population of wild mustangs in the Bureau of Land Management program, we help relieve the stress and extend the life of these magnificent creatures by:
  • Purchasing horses from the BLM to balance the over population and help stabilize their program.
  • We keep the horses a minimum of one year while providing housing, feed, medical attention and training.
  • After a one year we receive full ownership of the horses from the United States Government.
We then find homes, ranches and other facilities for the horses via non-profit organizations or other charities such as Boys & Girls Homes, Lion’s Camp, YMCA Camps, Wounded Warriors programs and the like. Each of these benefits from the donation of a trained and gentled mustang.

Helping People

Preserving and donating mustangs to charitable organizations we help alleviate taxpayers dollars and provide educational and therapeutic opportunities for adults and children by:
  • Saving taxpayers from federal expenses of BLM management and preservation efforts.
  • Donating to camps and homes brings these horses and children together teaching responsibility, respect and healthy boundaries.
  • Wounded Warriors programs benefit from these horses by aiding in PTSD equine therapy, bonding and relationship healing.
  • Upon being trained these breeds make great hardworking horses safe for work or pleasure.

Mustangs Forever Inc. ultimate goal is to have land where 1100 mustangs can roam free in West Texas. If you or someone you know is interested in preserving these beautiful creatures’ heritage and natural right to run wild, please contact us. This is not an easy task. This will take land, distinctive fencing and a lot of work. Naming rights and exclusive honorariums are available.

While monetary donations are encouraged and are vitally important to our mission, we also welcome donations such as tack, feed and equestrian care implements.

Ringo is a sweet Palomino who was donated to work in the Mustang Heritage Wounded Warriors equine therapy program. This amazing Veteran bonded so much with him that we gladly donated him to her. This is the emotional moment when she came to get him.

The Mustang Makeover features a youth category where kids will train wild mustangs as well. In 2015 we found 2 amazing and dedicated kids who wanted to keep the horses they trained to donate them back to.
